With the rapid development of China’s public safety industry in recent years,information collection, transmission and procession for remote products has graduallybecome an urgent need from companies. System with similar functions has already beenwidely used in power monitoring, traffic controlling and many other industries. But theapplication on the fire controlling products is still in the developing stage. Technologicalinnovation needs to be improved. In this thesis, implementation of the wireless remotecommunication of fire alarm controllers has been studied and tested.According to the physical environment of fire control projects, wireless networkcommunication has been selected as the system communication solution. By the interfacecharacteristics of the communication module, the serial port in the fire alarm controllerwhich connects the main section and the printer has been used for communication. Thecircuit has been adapted to establish the communication link at the controller side.In this thesis, simulaiton tests for the controller communication have been done.Refering to the set of the standard printer instruction, a detailed analysis for thecommunication content of the port has been made. According to data obtained by thesimulation tests, the amount of data generated by the fire alarm controller in differentrunning status has been calculated, as well as the data flow for the operator. Accordingly,considering the actual situation of the system, GPRS network has been chosen for systemcommunication. The suitable GPRS data transmission unit has also been determined.In this thesis, tests for the uplink communication of the entire system have been done,and a detailed analysis to the test results has been made. At the same time, simulation testfor the downlink communication of the system has also been carried out. Thecommunication between one fire alarm controller and the server has been realized. Finally,the communication between many fire alarm controllers and the server has beendemonstrated. The parameters of the server have also been recommended.
