Light-emitting diode (LED for short), is a kind of semiconductor device, which convertselectric energy into luminous energy. LED has a series of advantages such as longevity, highlighting effect, lower radiation, lower power dissipation and so on. As the popularity of theconcept of Green Life, LED has gained more and more favor. In recent years, our countrygives more support for LED industry which, undoubtedly, has a bright future and a hugepotential. In LED industry chain, the spectrophotometer color machine is a high-end kind ofequipment locating in downstream, which conducts photoelectric test on LEDs and sorts themaccording to the classification criterions set in advance. Along with fast development of LEDindustry, the spectrophotometer color machine has been indispensable to LED packagingindustry.In the beginning, the thesis gives a brief introduction to spectrophotometer colormachines in China mainland market, analyzing their control strategies. Afterwards,advantages and disadvantages of different control strategies are discussed, and parameters ofthe mainstream are summarized. And then, software structures of different control strategiesare introduced and compared.After presenting basic structure and working principles of the spectrophotometer colormachine, design target of the prototype is put forward, based on which, the sequence chart aredesigned. And then, demand analysis for hardware and software of control system areperformed, after which, overall solutions are designed respectively.Then, control flows of each station and control module for software system are planned.To be followed, programming language and main control devices are selected, followed bydevelopment of some key technology of control module, including achievement ofmultiple-threads architecture, high-speed technology for separating LEDs and severalhome-return methods for different axis with different characteristics.Human-computer interfaces are designed based on some basic principles. And then,requirements of some other necessary functions are analyzed, whose relative user interfacesare designed. Also, main functions in user interfaces are realized respectively, including daily maintenance, parameter setting and authority management.At last, some tests are performed in order to compare with main design targets of theprototype. Subsequently, feasible optimized methods are proposed, after which contrast testsare performed. It turns out that the prototype achieves the design target after optimization.Besides, the prototype attended one of China’s most famous photoelectric exhibitions andgained much praise.
