Visible Spectrophotometer is a kind of conventional analytical instrument, which is used to test the material for qualitative and quantitative analysis with the spectrophotometry.Spectrophotometer is widely applied to chemistry and chemical engineering, biological medicine, environmental monitoring, food hygiene and other many fields.The detection theory and making technology of spectrophotometer was mature long since.The advance of the whole performance mainly depend on the application of new technology and the software sysytem update.At present, domestic spectrophotometer mainly adopt sigle chip MCU sysytem, which limit the spectrophotometer's service performance.The ARM series high performance CPU using in the Embedded sysytem shows its advantage in high pergormance, low power, intelligent and network.According to the system composition and detection theory of spectrophotometer, this system was based on the hardware system of spectrophotometer that using ARM CPU. The spftware system has designed a developed the software system of spectrophotometer including the software migration, driver and UI develop.The system used the Linux OS and the GUI software MiniGUI The system sampled photoelectric signal with AD7705, which was controled by the S3C2410 MCU'SPI.The data were processed and displied in the upper UI software.The UI software was devided into some modules wich were machine setting,data sampling,analysis and processing,graphic disply,human-computer interaction and data management.This system could finished the real-time detection of the transmittance,absorbance and concentration,also the drawing of the standard curve and absorption curve,also the system provided the basic data management function.In addition the system has performence huamn-computer ineraction by using the devices of LCD and keyboard.This paper has five parts.At first, the detection principle of spectrophotometer and the application of embedded system in instrument were described.Then the build of Linux software envirment on the S3C2410 hardware platform was detailed illustrated after discribing of the concept and principle of embedded system.The data acquisition system was discussed next, which included the develop progress of Linux driver and the development of SPI/AD and keyboard driver.At the part of UI software, the MiniGUI'archtecture, middle input layer IAL and the development of each function modules were be described. Finally, we designed some exprements inorder to test the operation status and the technical index of the whole system.The outcome shows that the system has the advantages of high precision, well stability, abundant functions and easy using.
