With the wider uses of encoder products, performance, functionality and reliability ofencoder, which requires an encorder test platform of all types of encoders, required by thecustomers are higher and higher. At present, all encoder test platform on the market use aarchitecture of data acquisition card and pc machine.This type of encoder test platformhave advantages of powerful functions and high test speed, but they are inconvenient tocarry and with high cost. Therefore, a encoder test platform based on embedded system isdeveloped as the embedded software development process, which combined withinteractive interface design and signal processing knowledge. It can meet the requirementsof in-one portable encoder test platform.In this thesis, after comparing existing encoder test platforms on domestic andforeign markets, a requirements analysis for encoder test platform based on embeddedsystem was conducted. Then a hardware design used the NIOS II soft processeor and asoftware platform design with μC/OS-II and μC/GUI3.98were determined by comparinga variety of embedded operating system and optional graphics library.On the basis of the design of hardware and software in general, the porting process ofthe μC/OS-Ⅱ was completed on the NIOS II. Then the framework and porting principle ofμC/GUI were analyzed, μC/GUI configuretion process was elaborated, in order tosuccessfully port μC/GUI. After porting process, the basis of application development wasintroduced on this software platform.Finally, the design principles of human machine interface was summarized.And itelaborated the implementation process of test platform’s HMI and corresponding functionmodule. the HMI by four zone respectively was introduced,as designed.The zero-crossingdetection method was used in the time domain analysis. All phase FFT method was usedto correct the amplitutde and phase whose mistake caused by energy leakage. And the M/Tmethod was used in the motor speed monitoring module.
