Software test plays a key role in ensuring and improving the quality of software. A lot of repeated work results in low efficiency in the process of software test, especially in Black Box test. However, All kinds of test tools are introduced into the process of software test, which can enhance the efficiency. So the theory of software auto-test bring out. Study and development of software auto-test tool becomes more and more popular.There are already many systematic, integrated and mature automation test theory, method and tools about desk top software. But when it refers to embedded system test, both the test theory and method is lacking. The current automation test tool ether has limited test scope or is very expensive. This article refers a new pure software-drive method to test embedded system automatically. You only should add fewer stubs in test object. The insert test stub, the debug protocol and the parser run on PC can help you complete most of the test work. This method is suitable for the embedded system with MMI(MMI: Manual Machine Interface).This article completes an automation test platform for the Black Box test of embedded system based on the test method mentioned above. It represent the complete process from several aspects such as script technology of automation test, comparison technology of automation test, script generation and test management. This platform has strong flexibility and it suitable for the Black Box Test of embedded system with MMI.
