Products from the production to market circulation and sales, need to experiencethe process of transportation, unloading, carrying, piled up and so on, products willinevitably be subjected to the vibration, impact and even drop. Therefore, it isbeneficial to improve the internal function of product and the design of cushionpackaging design after evaluating the products’ adaptability to the impactenvironment on impact test machine. Impact test ensure the quality of products andtransport safety. The purpose of this paper is to design a control system of impact test,it will simulate a impact test environment of the products. Through the impact test ofhalfsine pulse in the field, the hardware and software of the system were tested andthe results show that the measuring and control system is correct and feasible. At present, the hardware system of measuring and control of impact test on thedomestic market, most of them adopting the method of SOC design. That is the CPU ishard core, such as the embedded system with ARM, DSP, the peripherals rely toomuch on them, the system can’t be reallocated according to the actual demands whichwill result in one set of test system only apply to one type of impact machine. This diseratation proposed and designed a set of measurement and control systemof impact test, which is appropriate for different types of impact machines. Thesystem adopt Altera’s soft-core processor-Nios Ⅱ to make required function modulesconcentrated in a piece of FPGA chip through reasonable configuration of Nios Ⅱ andperipherals with the SOPC Builder and Quartus Ⅱ IDE. In the aspects of hardwarestructure, functional characteristics and so on, to meet the needs of system design.Meanwhile, the PC software of system was designed which will communicate withthe hardware system and analysis the results of impact tests. The main content of eachchapter is as follows:In chapter1, based on the research on the abroad and overseas, the historyevolution of the shock test control system and relative fields are introduced, thecontent of the dissertation are announced. In chapter2, the working principle of measure and control system was described, the general design scheme of hardware and software was put forward; In chapter3, the model of drop impact test was analysised, and the theoreticalanalysis of shock signal was discussed, such as filter、FFT and SRS;In chapter4, the design of the embedded hardware system was presented. First, hardware system’s main modules are classified, such as FPGA core module, A/Dsampling module, network communication module; Secondly, the design of SOPCsystem based on Nios II soft core was proposed, combined with the actual needs ofthe research, select required components such as SDRAM, EPCS4, PIO, UART, A/D,DM9000A IP core and so on which can obtain from SOPC Builder and the third party. Finally, the transplanting process of uClinux kernel was discussed; In chapter5, the design of software system was presented, including userinterface, application protocal of network communication and data processing coremodule; The flows of software process during the test result analysis were described, such as the full wave and main wave calculation of shock signal, toleranceconfiguration, the test report in Word document. In chapter6, experimental tests in laboratory and shock test field were done andthe results show that the software and hardware design of the system is right andfeasible; In chapter7, summarize all the research work and outlook the future work inshock test system.
