With the technology updating, process control technology of steel enterprise hasdeveloping as a striking speed to change the overall appearance of our country. Meanwhile,gradually improved management style also affects our life, thoughts and social productivety;it reveals its weightiness in social presently.This research implemented a process control management system for slitter line in steelenterprise, the system aims to use information technology making this system to become abridge between basical control systems and manufacture executive system. Every massage inits processing flow which starts from material to final product is tracked in the wholeproduction circle.Such as energy consumption, defect management, report feedback etc.Theseinformation can help the managers to make decisions, and they provide the data which refersthe potention problems support the factory to improve their products. The system reveals asmall process control system to monitor and optimize the processing flow; it also forms aconnecting link between the preceding and the following. System architecture based onCORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture), it works as a bridge to communicatebetween event systems and defferent languages. The system has many fuctions include PID(Production Data Input) data management, production plan management, material tracking,shift and system management and commucation ports. Each main function of sub systemscould be realized by human and machine interface.During the system developing, we researched the theory of related technologies analysedadvanced of the third midware. Involed Simag midware to realize all events actions.Internetengine also used in this research, as an object oriented midware, ICE provides tools and API supports for Client/Server application. All functions could be shown on hunman-machineinterface. System frame, hardware configuration, net communication rules and database wereconstructed during this research. Messages and data from different interfaces were exchangedby CORBA, the client sent out requests and object provides services, ORB handles thisrequest and feedback the result to client. By using CORBA envent server, it coulde hanldeorders from HMI, requests from MES and database etc.HMI provides message monitoring,report searching, and energy data acquisition.Production plan of slitter line coulde be perfect realized by using process controlmanagement system to communicate with manufactory executive system and basic controlsystem, all processing parameter orders could be executed accurately. It also tracks each tachefrom the order to product delivery, eliminate redundant steps and optimize the processingworkflow. Our work is a great breakthrough in domestic land. It enhances our innovation andresearch ability. All this result to great meaning to energy saving, selves innovation and greatefficiency productivity.This technology is one of the top knolegies in domestic industry, notonly promote the modern innovation progress, it also coulde be extended in whole steelindustry.
