WCDMA Wireless Network Planning Of Ezhou Unicom3G

The quality of network planning is the key of the quality of mobile communication systems. The construction cost, operation performance, service quality, and development potential are directly related to network planning.This thesis investigates the radio access network planning for WCDMA network. Firstly the development of3G mobile communication system is summarized, then the WCDMA system and its radio access network planning are discussed. Secondly, the planning procedure of radio access network is presented. then the traffic load, system capacity, load factor, interference tolerance, and cell radius are discussed. Finally, by simulation the network planning is done, and results are compared.Based on WCDMA system technologies and practical engineering practices, according to radio access network planning procedures, the network planning for Ezhou City of Hubei Province of WCDMA network is done. The engineering parameters and radio resource parameters are decided by requirements and network characteristics. The user prediction and service model prediction are investigated under the conditions of signal coverage, system capacity, and service quality. The results presented in this thesis is useful for further network optimization.
