The Research And Implementation Of Excavating Potential Capability Of Local Transport Network In City A

Nowadays, in telecom industry, voice service is shrinking, while mobile service and broadband have become two pillars of operator’s perfomance. The demand for transport network is increasing because of the emergence of upgrade and speed raising of mobile network. Therefore, it is essential to be aware of how to serve these two networks well. However, PTN technology is not mature, the present transport network cannot keep its pace with the development of mobile network. Before the new technology being mature, how to utilize current technology to meet the demand of mobile network and protect the investment have become the main points to operators.This thesis introduces the planning and implementation in city A, which focused on excavaing the potential capability of present local transport network so as to satisfy new service demands. Firstly, the thesis analyses the status and tendency of transport networks. Meanwhile, the demands from mobile network, fixed network, broadband, VIP etc. are researched. Secondly, in viewpoint of local network status, different layers of transport network is discussed, and the bottleneck of present network in service is discovered. Then different planning solutions are presented and finally the best one was chosen after comparison. Thirdly, the implementation is introduced in detail.
