With the development of microelectronics technology, computer intelligence technology and remote controlling technology, more and more monitoring system is applied in various areas. monitoring system is of great significance to ensure the production safety and convenient production management. The increasing power cable dosage and corresponding power load causes that the cable is overheated, which may trigger fire accidents. According to the statistics, general cable faults caused by fire can lead to large cable loss, and it is impossible to resume production and operation in short time, causing great economic losses to the enterprise. Dozens of cable fire accidents occur each year and cause tremendous national and social losses. Therefore, temperature acquisition and monitoring real-timely of cable tunnel is necessary and feasible.Aiming at the sufficiency of common cable temperature monitoring methods and traditional temperature acquisition, this paper researches on the cable temperature monitoring system with embedded M-BUS data concentrators as its core, designs hardware, software and the communication interface of embedded M-BUS data concentrators. The system uses the new Tiny ARM series industrial control modules, takes ARM embedded control module T2387as the core, design software on the platform of uC/OS-Ⅱ operating system. The system develops respectively data collection, preprocessor and CAN bus communication program, improves the system real-timely and stably and reliably. Combining M-BUS technique, The system monitors the internal temperature, smoke and water level information of cable tunnel real-timely, uploads real-time information to the sever through CAN BUS by CANET, shows real-time simulations of temperature and processes the anomaly situation. The actual operation proves that this system runs stably and reliably, realizes the information collection, storage and preliminary analysis, monitors working environment of cable effectively so as to avoid fire accidents.In the end the paper summarizes research work and points out the direction of further research and improvement of the embedded M-BUS data concentrators.
