Network Meter System is a practical application and expansion of Remote Automatic Meter Reading System in energy control field. It consists of meter data collecting and monitoring subsystem, gas service subsystem. The former subsystem consists of server, communications network, repeater or mobile equipment, terminal network and gas meter which supply meter real time running state and gas data. The latter consists of network server,remote terminal which provide all kinds of information services.This thesis presents the work of developing a mobile data concentrator in Network Meter System using Windows CE embedded operating system. The primary purpose to develop this mobile equipment is to further improve system practicability and flexibility on the whole and make it a communication bridge between server and terminal meter in case of emergency and accomplish some common functions in application at the same time, such as network meter equipment installation, maintenance management, reading meters in emergency, etc. In the thesis, the development of this system is analyzed in great detail. The major research work is as the followings:(1) Linux and Windows CE operating system are analyzed and the architecture, communication capacity and mobile application development technique of Windows CE are discussed in detail.(2) An analysis of multiple common communication technologies, include serial communication, Ethernet communication, GPRS WAN and WIFI LAN wireless communication, and the communication requirement of mobile data concentrator are carried out.(3) The similarities and differences between.NET Framework and.NET Compact Framework are analyzed. The latter is analyzed thoroughly in the matter of intelligent equipment development technology.(4) A uniform of data communication command frames is designed to make a unite communication format among server, data repeater and terminal meter. SQL Server CE's local data access and remote database synchronous technologies in connection with data storage of mobile data concentrator are analyzed(5) Finally, a mobile data concentrator which capabilities of network communication and data collecting are developed. Then apply it to Network Meter System. Its function and performance are tested in two ways with Visual Studio2005 and physical equipment NLS-PT980. |
