There is a problem which is unable to monitor the life of hives of beeseffectively difficultly to be solved in the traditional Bees breedin. It directlyrestricts the development of aquaculture of bees. With the development ofelectronic technology, especially the embedded technology, sensor technology,wireless network technology and the other related technology in recent decades, itbegins to be possible to use the modern electronic technology to solve thetraditional problem.This article is aiming at this existing problem in monitoring aquaculture beehives of bees and design a digital monitoring system special for the beehive tomonitor the life of hives of bees.The system uses ARM9+uITRON platform.Themicroprocessor with the ARM9DMI core no only has the control function, but alsocontains the image processing engine and has image processing function. Inaddition to the image processing module, the system also contains the GPRS, thetemperature monitoring and interface and another function modules. Compared tothe other operating system, the selected uITRON real-time operating system takesup less space, and run time faster. Because the system contains the wireless GPRSmodule, the picture information being photoed can be sent to the user terminal. Socompared to other types of monitoring systems, this system can achieve unattendedoperation, and more conveniently to be used.At first, this article introduces the research background and significanceaboult this issue, as well as the development situation of the research on the beemonitoring in the domestic and foreign, then introduces the system principle ofwork and the overall design diagram, it detailly introduces the hardware circuitdesign of the system memory module, GPRS module, the power modules, thesensing circuits and anther function module, etc. And then build up a uITRONreal-time operating system, according to the system hardware platform, anddiscussed the overall system design of application and the related AT instruction ofthe operations that the wireless module send the picture signal.The system test is almost for the function, power consumption and stability ofthe system. After each module has been tested for a large number of times actually,we found the data shows that the various functions in the design can be realized,and the power consumption and stabilityis also fulfilled our needs. And because when we design this system, we fullly thought about the system runningenvironment and the operating cost, So the design have strong feasibility andpotentially of great economic value, can provide a suitable monitoring platform forusers.
