There are currently a part of the engine room due to the site area as well as financial issues, can not deploy a professional air conditioner in the room. The traditional method of engine room temperature monitoring using human duty program, this program is not only cost but also difficulty to perform inside the vehicle. This thesis studies and designed a low cost room temperature monitoring system based GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) and GPS (Global Positioning System), to achieve temperature data acquisition, room location, and temperature alarm functions. Provide a strong guarantee for the stable operation of peripheral devices can also help maintenance personnel for effective management.This thesis first analyzes the current situation and development prospects of GPRS and GPS technology, introduced the current domestic and abroad mainstream monitoring systems used by the engine room. Then according to limited site area and equipment room environment designed room temperature monitoring system based on GPS and GPRS. The system consists room monitoring terminals, monitoring services in two parts, of which the terminal is responsible for monitoring the temperature of the room, collecting geographic data and transmits temperature data to background server, the server is responsible for display the temperature of engine room, display the location of engine room and storage historical temperature data. Underlying monitoring terminal consists of six parts, namely, the master module, the temperature sensing module, GPS module, display module, wireless transmission module and power module, the thesis focuses on the design and implementation of the wireless transmission module and GPS module. Upper PC monitoring center software, including network communication module, a database module, GIS module and graphical display module, the thesis introduced the design and implementation of each module. Monitoring Centre provides open GIS map interface through third parties such as Baidu map, to achieve real-time remote monitoring of room temperature.The system is designed from reality, to ensure automation and informatization in the maintenance process. The system uses real-time monitoring, fast delivery, and information feedback to achieve a rapid fault location. Help system users in the space and equipment specifications limited circumstances, real-time automatic monitoring of room temperature, so that the business can be stabilized, and improve the competitiveness of enterprises.
