In the current competitive market environment, the traditional enterprisemanagement approach based on manual management no longer satisfy the needs ofenterprise management, and this rudimentary management could also hardly achieve thegoals of rational allocation, optimization of resources, and the enterprise as a whole, much less to monitor the production process. In order to achieve the goals of effectiveintegrated management of human resource, financial resource, material production, supply and sale, we have developed the enterprise’s production managementinformation system (EPMIS).Object models, dynamic models and functional models established respectively onin-depth analyses of the information systems architecture, object-oriented approach, through the comparison of the object-oriented method and the traditional method, onexplaining, in detail, the EPMIS’s object-oriented analysis, design and method ofimplementation, on in-depth analysis, by OMT techniques, of two importantsub-systems: production planning and material supply. In order to improve the system’s reliability and availability, planning andoptimization methods to the network system, and optimization, fault tolerance ofEPMIS etc. were discussed in this paper.
