The female images in the newspaper is the product of the combination of Communication Studies and Feminist research, which emphasizes the feminist views and perspectives to look at the newspaper content we take for granted."City Lady" is the local newspapers of Shandong province, taking the urban young men and women as the main audience, which fully reflected the lives of urban people. The newspaper’s content includes news section, special issue of the service class, part of emotional talk, education and so on, trying to provide effective service for the modern urban life.This article will take the "City Lady" as an example to analyze the female image of the city newspaper in Shandong province, with statistical analysis on selected samples from the sample of newspapers issued, using the two methods of content analysis and text analysis.This article is divided into three parts.The first part is the sorting out of the existing research results describing the research achievements of the Feminism, Women and Media, the relevant definition of the metropolitan newspapers, the development process, the development path of City Lady and other background knowledge.The second part introduces the research method and theoretical basis, from the characters, reported news field, news reports attribute, and key layout analysis of selected sample journals of "City Lady". This article is based on the theoretical basis that covering the proposed state environment and agenda setting function theory, gender class attribute thinking sex image of the theory of gender stereotypes and so on.Third part select a large number of reported instance of the newspaper on the basis of quantitative analysis of samples, showing the main features of the news reports and the image of women of "City Lady".
