Research On The Images Of Hui'an Women In Media

As a unique group,Hui'an women,have attracted much attention from the society.The public know the Hui'an women mainly through the medium,so people know about the image of Hui'an women by the mimicry environment that was created by media.From the perspective of Communication,this paper adopts historical carding and text analysis as research methods,and utilizes the related media texts(newspapers,plays,movies,TV series,etc.)about Hui'an women image from the phrase of Republic of China to the era of reform and opening up as the analysis objects.Combining with the factors of body,history,country,power,ideology and gender and adopting related theories such as media image,ideological construction,social gender,semiotics,etc,this paper will study the evolution process of constructing the Hui'an women image since the founding of People's Republic of China by means of texts and the history and describe the whole transformation process of Hui'an women image for hundred years through the text and images.How the media text interweaves with the history in the process of changes?What changes has appeared about the emphasis of the media on the shape of Hui'an women?What is the dominant force behind these changes?Based on the above consideration,this paper will explore how the state power and ideology play the hidden role in the narration of image and body of Hui'an women between the media text and the history and make them become the gear on the "machine"that is used to construct socialism.During the construction of socialism,the state power and ideology adjusted and restored the social gender system through the media,and directly had effects on the production and life of Hui'an women,which,on the one hand,really promoted the liberation of Hui'an women and encourage more hui'an women to go out of the family to participate in social production;on the other hand,which employed various standards of patriarchy to shape Hui'an women.
