In order to be superior to the competitors in the fierce market, the own-brand auto manufacturing enterprise is trying to obtain the market information and mine potential customers by using IT efficiently. They optimize the process system using information system, unite the upstream and downstream partners in the supply chain especially all the dealers at the forefront the market much more closely to improve the response speed of the market and reduce the turning around time of the order. Our aim is to achieve the long-term development of our enterprise by highly integrating the information system to achieve the true meaning of the Supply chain coordination, order driven production, and financial profit maximization.Auto dealer’s management refers to the managing of the huge sales network. By strengthening the management of the vehicle product physical sales, the stock and the Commercial vehicle logistics process of the Auto Marketing Company, we can achieve the highly uniform of the information of the product sales, make the information collecting standard, gather the marketing information more quickly and accurately, master the tendency of the operation of the market, improve the market operating and controlling ability of the management of every levels and finally provide more reliable basis for the policy decision of the auto marketing efficiently.Dealer Management System (DMS) is responsible for the interaction between the whole enterprise and the dealers and also the link of SAP and the outer dealers.This paper on DMS aims at solving many problems existing in the present sales of auto manufacturing enterprises. It was repeatedly researched, effectively analyzed on the sales process, and carefully designed and developed to meet the demands of the market vehicle inventory, sales information, customer information, agency information management. This system mainly perfects the internal management of the vehicle sales, and improves the dealers’business management level and the ability of Information statistics. As an effective Collaborative platform between the auto manufacturing enterprise and the dealers, it breaks the information communicating barrier of the two sides, improve the efficiency, make the information timely and effectively, and in the end enhance the Market competitiveness of the enterprise. We found some problems of our former system as following during our research:1. The present DMS is not effectively used. It is now punctately supported instead of thoroughly on the whole process, which is lacking in information system’s support for the process management, decision, and quality monitoring, etc.2. The support for the client-oriented business model is insufficient. Mostly it was Production-oriented, sales-oriented, or Profit-oriented, which can’t reflect Vehicles’ life cycle management.3. The structure of the DMS still has some problems. It was developed earlier and was out-of dated, which can only support some routine and relatively simple business while can’t respond to our now complicated business. The structure also restricts the system’s adaptability, flexibility, and versatility.4. It supports business intelligence insufficiently. Data query, summary, analysis and output function were not well developed and so that the data can’t be used by related competent departments and need processing again.5. It only communicates the transaction data of dealers and the enterprise while not set up the unique information system catering for the dealers’management according to the operational characteristics.These problems lead to our former system’s insufficiency on the growing management needs, so we made an effective attempt to satisfy our business development demands. Aiming to solve these problems, we make out the system requirement by the approach of unifying requirements management, model the static structure and dynamic structure, and developed a dealer management system covering ales order management, automobile logistics management, sales information management and financial information management, which realized the network collaboration between factory and dealers, and made an effective attempt to support the system of the customer-oriented business model, which increased the sales management. The project has been implemented in a factory with a great amount of economic and social benefits.
