RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a non-contact automatic identificationtechnology. It can realize non-contact information transmission by using radiofrequency signal coupled through space to make the message identified. Based on theproduction of the reality situation of the cigarette industry, the RFID tags attach to thetray with the unit of1-pallet is presented. The combination of the bar code and RFIDtags can resolve interaction and reunification issue between the logistics andinformation flow. In this paper, the management system of cigarette warehouse isdeveloped, and then be tested in our logistics laboratory.The composition, classification and working principle of the RFID system areinvestigated, and two ways of data communications about RFID system is discussed. Anovel approach for the whole tray cigarette management has been presented.Compared with the traditional cigarette warehouse, there are many advantages ofthis management system based on RFID. In this paper, the rationality and effectivenessof the management system are analyzed. The cigarettes logistics warehouse networkarchitecture diagrams and operating flowchart are designed. The DLC-6820C distanceintegrated reader and XCTF-5013electronic tags are selected to analysis the function ofthe equipments in the main processes of Monopoly Bureau cigarette logistics.This system is developed under the environment of Windows Server2003andSQL Server Enterprise Edition database with the language of Visual Basic6.0. Thesystem mainly consists of basic information modules, warehouse management module,query module, system settings module, data module, storage alarm and MonopolyBureau communication module, all of which achieve a integrate management software.The system will report these cigarette data which is checked, classified and stored to theState Tobacco Monopoly.The last part of the paper is the simulation process of cigarette warehousemanagement system in logistics laboratory. According to the choice of hardware andthe design of software system, the warehouse network is set up first, then, the inputstorage process, the writing literacy rate, the reading distance and the collisions of tagsbetween different readers are tested in turn. Results show that, with the advantage of itsfunctional, data security and fast and stable transmission of information, the cigarette warehouse management system used by Tobacco Monopoly Bureau is practicable.
