Traffic Information Collection System Based On Internet Of Things Technology

With the rapid development of computer technology, communication technology and electronic control technology, Intelligent Transportation Systems is an important way to solve the current traffic worsening traffic congestion, traffic accidents, environmental pollution and other problems caused by the rapid increase of vehicle ownership. The traffic information collection is the basis of intelligent transportation system’s responding, must accurate and reliable with dealing the large amount of information. Traffic information collection methods such as speed radar, microwave detectors, ultrasonic detectors, ring induction coil, etc., all have their own advantages and limitations, and are not able to meet demand for intelligent transportation systems.About traffic information collection in mode of the Internet of things, its main feature is all kinds of information through the radio frequency identification, sensors to gather other vehicles’ information on the road. It combined with the Internet network, mobile communication network, and other network to process transmission of information and interaction, adopting intelligent computing technology for information analysis and processing to improving the vehicle perception, and intelligent decision-making and control.On the basis of different detection systems are relatively independent, not interconnected limitations, I researched and designed a traffic information collection system based on an Internet of Things technology written in this article. The system provides a communication interface and a variety of traffic information collection subsystem which is under the interface functions, to achieve the purpose of communication. In addition, the system also has the statistics of traffic information, and provides a friendly interface to complete the road network, display and control. This article is divided into four parts discussion:1,An overview of the research background and related technologies of the intelligent transportation system and its subsystems’intelligent traffic information collection system.2, The intelligent traffic information collection system and the Internet of Things technology theory introduction and summary.3, The design of the traffic information collection system based on an Internet of Things technology, including functional modules, database.4, The description and test of realization on the part of the system modules.Intelligent transportation is an important idea to solve the transportation energy consumption, pollution and congestion problems. This article is a practice of the internet of things technology in the transportation field. The internet of things technology has an important significant of learning and promoting each other in the studying of transportation and other fields.
