Research On Liaoning Province’s Journalism Educational Reform Based On Combination Of Mass Media Organizations

Great changes have taken place in the media world since the combination of mass mediaorganizations. The changes lie not only in news communications ideas, content, manners andchannels, but also in the win-win status between media and the readership and in the maximalprofit. The combination is necessary for the existence, development, and improvement of corecompetitiveness, for the local media organizations. In recent years, the major mass mediaorganizations began to be combined in Liaoning Province, the definition of media is thusindefinitely extended, and as a result, such combined media has begun to come into being, as"combined newspapers and websites","big editorial department", etc. Hence, due to thechanges, more new and high standards have been set up for journalism-oriented colleges,whose students are required to change from "one-level management" to "multi-levelmanagement", from "independent fighting" to "mutually-dependent fighting", from"one-sided persons" to "multi-sided persons", and from "experts" to "all-round professionals".Thus, the changes brought up by such a combination serve as a new challenge for thosejournalism-oriented colleges. In order to for students to be on the "right way" to thecombination, and on the basis of the investigation into the actual journalism educationalsituations in those colleges in Liaoning Province, and of the number of graduates needed forthe developmental trend of mass media in Liaoning Province, it is discovered that injournalism education of those colleges there exist some problems concerning the trainingpurpose, professional subjects, teaching staff, teaching facilities and evaluation methods. Inorder to train all-round graduates for mass media organizations in Liaoning Province and evenfor the whole country, in addition to original training purposes, and by analyzing the aboveproblems in detail, it is necessary, as a conclusion, to promote double bachelor’s degree, tointegrate experimental courses, to reform the test system, and to enhance the building ofcampus software environment and hardware environment.
