Angle information is an important parameter in the radar antennas, gun control of military and CNC machine tool industry control area. Traditional desktop angle measurement system is bulky, complicated to operate, versatile. This paper analyzes the characteristics of synchro, resolver angle sensor signal, and designed portable angle monitoring system based on a single chip shaft angle/digital converter module.This paper analyzed and summarized the research status of domestic and foreign shaft angle detection technology, illustrates the meaning and value of the portable angle monitoring system. According to synchro, resolver works and signal characteristics, signal pre-processingcircuit based-on the Scott-transformer, the RD-19230single chip angle converter module and C8051F340micro-controller as the core design. The system uses a lithium battery or USB interface as power supply, with the ability of low-cost, low-power, precision and adaptation to the environ-ment and other characteristics. Monitoring information transmitted to the host comp-uter via a USB2.0interface, can be real-time display, and save the Excel file.This paper is divided into the hardware design and software design in two parts. The hardware part includes:pre-processing circuit, the RDC module circuit, range amplifier, single-chip controlcircuit, display circuit and power circuit. The pre-proce-ssing circuit convert input Synchro, resolver signal to the two orthogonal signa-ls, and step-down processing. The RD19230chip converte analog angle signals to digital signals, then C8051F340microcontroller calculate to the angle informati-on and drive the LCDdisplay. The integrated ADC circuit sampling the input signal, the MCU control range amplifier circuit, to ensure system accuracy in a wide inpu-t signal range. LCD screen in four ways to display the monitoring angle, to meet different application requirements, and can also display the reference signal voltage, the input signal voltage and battery. The software consists of two parts:the lower machine firmware and the host computerinterface software. The MCU firmwar-e design by C51language, host computer software using object-oriented VC++6.0to write, easy to extend and modify. Applications has simple and intuiti-ve software interface to display the angle information, the reference voltage and the signal voltage, the recorded data is saved as Excel format file to facilitate future call to view.After testing and validation, the system high accuracy, wide input signal range, small size, low power consumption, high reliability, simple operation and versatility, fully meet the angle measurement and real-time monitoring data retention requirem-ents.
