As a new generation of wireless access system, LTE is able to provide better bandwidth, bigger system capability and lower service delay. SON is a concept which is dominated to suggest by the CMCC in the stage of LTE network is standardized. The primary aims are achieving automatic functions of some networks, reducing manual interventions and the cost of operation and maintenance. The3GPP also begins to research it and establish the basic architectures and requirements for some features. However, the specific scheme is in the early stage of research.The following documents would regulate the TD-LTE technique experimentation system equipment criterion that published by CMCC and the SON function described in the3GPP. The SON function is divided into three parts, self-establishment, ANR (Auto Neighbor Relation) and PCI (Physical Cell Identity).This paper would analyze self-establishtment, auto neighbor relationship management and auto config PCI function these three parts in turn. Firstly, analyze the requirements through function. Secondly, design the scheme according to requirements. Thirdly, according to the design scheme, summarize the normal processes and abnormal processes which were communicated between the management station and NodeB equipments, meanwhile, analyze the key technologies in every parts. Finally, propose a feasible plan of SON function based on the TDD-LTE equipments.
