Optimization Research On WCDMA Core Network

With the continuous development of communication technology, network intellectualization of mobile operator and deepening work of IP-based3G core network construction, intercommunication network of2G and3G, providing more services and advanced technologies make the entire mobile network becomes complex. How to optimize network structure and configuration by using network resources effectively to develop the routine optimization work, and improve the quality of network becomes very important to network operators.The main work of the wireless core network optimization is decoding the signaling and protocol, synthesising the CDR/TDR, recuring the service connection processing, accomplishing statistical data of various network and service performance index based on normal status of network operation. In this way, the operation of network and services can be analyzed. Simultaneously, by completing end to end call analysis by the process association of whole call range protocol, fine analysis of end to end call can be done. Through end to end network call analysis, the network optimization work can be extended in-depth, and the problem can be completely solved.This thesis focuses on the wireless core network optimization.The main work is as follows:first; the aspects of the core network, resource assessment, performance assessment, and network structure are introduced, and the factors involved in the optimization process and network optimization steps are described. Secondly, the main reason affecting the performance criteria of existing core network of a City are highlighted. Finally, reasonable adjustment of the network devices and configuration of the system parameters are given so as to ensure the best utilization of network resources and improve QoS. The optimization work has been applied in wireless core network of a City. The results demonstrate that network optimization has got better optimization performance with good reliability.
