Broadband Networks are important infrastructure and strategic resources of National Informationization; also basis and key of Society Informatization. At present, the average internet speed in our country is only1.774M, ranking the71st in global, which is in a low speed stage. But the key for the development of the next generation network is bandwidth, therefore only by realizing high speed network, the NGI, the next generation mobile communication, internet of things and cloud computer can be greatly developed.At present, the key factor of restricting the internet speed in our country lies in access network. So how to broaden the access bandwidth becomes a hot studying topic. PON, based on optic fiber transmission system, with the characteristics of wide bandwidth, long distance transmission and easy maintenance, is a new technology widely used in access network.This paper, introduces xDSL technology, LAN technology, and Passive Optical Network technology; makes a research and analysis on access network business requirements in Yichun branch China Unicom. According to the actual business needs, this paper also compares and analyzes some major access network technologies from the aspects of access bandwidth, maximum transmission distance, multi-business capability and safety, QoS and OAM. As a result, this paper chooses to study the GPON technology suitable for access network business development in Yichun branch Jiangxi Unicom. The paper studies several typical network models of GPON technology, analyzes their investment efficiency and finally decides the FTTH network model design based on GPON technology, as well as a scheme for construction of access network in Yichun branch Jiangxi Unicom. Design scheme includes ODN design, light power calculation, bandwidth computation, network operation and maintenance management design, VLAN and IP address planning design, optical fiber material selection, equipment selection。The paper finally illustrates the access network construction in Yichun branch Jiangxi Unicom.This paper mainly includes the following aspects:introduction about the research background, significance and contents; introduction of several main access network technologies; scheme design for access network organizing in Yichun branch Jiangxi Unicom; access network organizing examples in Yichun branch Jiangxi Unicom.This paper, considering the current situation of Yichun branch Jiangxi Unicom, presents some schemes for access scene construction of FTTH plan and guides the plan and construction of FTTH. Thus the article can be a reference for the network construction in Unicom municipal branches of the southern provinces.
