Research On GPRS Wireless Network Data Services Optimization

As wireless mobile communication services developing, it has been focused on data application services instead of traditional voice services. Among the mobile operators in China, most of them still treat the second generation mobile communications network as the main network which is represented by Global System For Mobile Communication (GSM) General Packet Radio Data Service (GPRS) is the packet data services derived from GSM network. As the third generation mobile communications network is not completed currently, GPRS network is still the main scheme to carry the data services and meet the data services requirements.As the mobile information age arrived and the mobile communication cost reduced, voice services and data services vie with one another for the space wireless resources more fiercely. That how to reasonably configure the network resources based on the mobile operators’overall strategies has been the primary problem which all wireless communication optimization workers shall solve. In this dissertation, the critical protocol process which the wireless network optimization workers need knowing. Then, the effect of the adjustment of GPRS key control parameters on the network is studied. The related experiment is completed with the device. And improvement of the network indexes has been evaluated. Based on these, the core problems and the main process of GPRS network optimization are analyzed from the perspective of maintenance interface. After that, the design of GPRS network optimization software model is given.Based on the above analysis, the dissertation extends GPRS network optimization perspective. With wireless network equipment replacement projects of China Mobile Group Tianjin Company Limited as the background, the optimization assurance of the data services from the perspective of the construction is studied.
