Gas leakage is an important evaluating indicator of lighter quality. Atpresent, traditional manual methods are widely used in industrial sites, which can notrealize high efficiency and accuracy, and gradually be out of automation and batchdetection. This paper proposes an automatic detection instrument especially forlighter micro gas leakage. It is mianly based on microcontroller. With gas sensor andnegative pressure device, with which the environmental influence is reducedin the process, the instrument successfully captures the mirco gas leakage ofthe lighters. By dual-mirco leakage analysis algorithm, the target one will beidentified exactly.Following are the contents of this paper:Firstly, mirco gas leakage detection technology at home and abroad wasmade, the fact that leakage gas spatial distribution satisfied Gauss modelfeatures was proved and identification method applied to batch detection wasdesigned, eventually the technical difficulty in mirco gas leakage of singlelighter with series peak values was surmounted.Secondly, system design alternative containing master control part, gasdetection part, motion control part and target lighter identification part andelectronic devices selection were done. According to industrial needs, a dual-negative pressure eliminating device was made. It does eliminate the effect coursedby air current among sample lighters and make it a stable terrace for onlineproduction work. Then, software design was accomplished with modularity. The core isdual-mirco leakage analysis algorithm and motion control algorithm of step motor.Operating process was elaborated baesd on high aotumation idea. Meanwhile, newtactics were divised to make sure software reliability.Lastly, the instrument in this paper aims at finding a low cost and highautomation method to reach common requirement in national norms for lighter quality control. By using this strategy, it achieved efficiency of6000lighters per hour, and obtained at least99.96%accurate identification. It can be widely used inindustrial sites, or conclude a better way to analyze some other vessel leakagedetecting.
