The technology of detection leak on the Pipelines can discover pipeline leakage accurately and the position of leakage. The technology will take precaution of oil leakage,reduce to lose,strike the purpose of crude oil stealing action,and decrease waste of manpower and material resource in patrolling the pipelines. With the development of high-speed computer and the application of new high precision,high response sensor,the signal detection and process technology is going ahead to combine the software with hardware. The negative Pressure wave law has a very brilliant future because of better criterion than other methods. The negative pressure wave law is popular application to detect the leakage on the pipeline and position the leakage point in today's world. One of the key technologies that can enhance the method's precision and veracity is how to identify the leakage. The article's main point is to study how the method of negative pressure applied in the leakage detection. Namely,the sensor feels the negative pressure wave and the technology of digital signal process boosts the precision and veracity of the method. This paper combines with pipeline delivery of our country's actual conditions and other methods of detection and location. To the leakage characteristic of the fault to the long-distance oil pipeline,a method is raised,which is on the basis of wavelet and negative pressure wave law to detect the leakage and locate the extent of leak. The article precisely analyzes the technology in the method of negative pressure law through the theory, the system structure, acquisition of signal, the process of signal and the process of data. Above of all,finishing the technologic research for detecting leak on the oil gathering and transferring pipeline. The real result is compatible with the analysis of theory. The data handling to the whole system is taking a decisive factor in the negative pressure wave law leakage checkout system, and can influence the accuracy and the precision of this system. Here we mainly choose the Matlab software to analyze all the data. This Powerful software can be used to reduce the noise in the signals and gather the characteristic signal among them. Final, a plan, which is for inspection and detection of oil pipelines leakage, is proposed in the article.
