Automotive vocational and technical education, the structure of the car’sunderstanding, fault diagnosis is the most important content, the use of simulationtechnology needs of the automotive development of vocational education. How to improve students’ diagnostic skills in the short term, aproblem that plagued the automotive repair teaching institutions. In response to theseconditions, the subject developed a car fault diagnosis simulation training systemsoftware. In this paper, the development of simulation training system as an object.This paper analyzes the status quo of the current domestic and internationalapplications of virtual reality technology in teaching and modern automotivediagnostic repair methods and processes. Students through the handsof the mouse the whole process of the automotive fault diagnosis operation can becompleted to allow students a clear grasp of the technical essentials of fault diagnosisprocess, to not shop like owning a workshop " training effect.
