This paper focuses on the product maintainability. It introduces virtual reality technology to the product maintenance operation in the concurrent development mode. That is, maintenance simulation for product in computer-generated virtual reality environment. Thus we can design products in the environment of product life cycle, cut the cycle of research, reduce cost, and also improve the proportion of efficiency and expense by this technology. The basic theory of virtual maintenance and reality as well as their current development and research in China and overseas are introduced in this dissertation. The characteristic of stereo display system which is used in this study project is introduced. The key technology of virtual maintenance and virtual reality is analyzed and researched, and than virtual maintenance system is established base on it. The plan and process of virtual maintenance of one radar structure are designed, and the maintenance environment is built. The layout of virtual maintenance of one radar structure is achieved, and also the simple evaluation and validation are achieved. The application of human-computer interaction in virtual assembly is also researched in this dissertation, and the definition rule and method of human-computer interface are researched and achieved with VR device. The general technological process of data glove's operation is designed in human-computer interaction, and the function of data glove is achieved in virtual maintenance of one radar structure. Finally, the effect of human-computer interaction is evaluated in the virtual maintenance of one radar structure.
