With the development of computer technology and virtual reality technology, virtual maintenance technology has become a development trend of modern maintenance technique. The airline company can use the virtual maintenance environment for maintenance personnel training. It can improve the ability of maintenance personnel, reduce the maintenance training cost and improve the training efficiency.At present, the international air transport market is increasingly competitive and every airline company faces a great pressure. On one hand, in order to ensure the safe and time operation of aircraft, the airline company needs to conduct a series of maintenance personnel training with the maintenance personnel. On the other hand, the airline company needs to reduce the maintenance training cost and improves the training efficiency. The virtual maintenance technology which is used in training of the maintenance personnel can solve the above contradiction effectively.In the presented paper, the author uses the Boeing 737 aircraft landing gear as the study object based on the object-oriented programming and virtual reality technology. The detailed description of the computer-based landing gear virtual maintenance training system study process is carried out from the following aspects: virtual maintenance modeling, virtual maintenance scene simulation, virtual maintenance simulation and virtual maintenance evaluation. The corresponding solutions to the problems which are encountered during the design and implementation of the virtual maintenance training system are proposed in the paper. After analyzing the principle and implementation method of virtual maintenance training system, the key technologies used in the system are studied. Finally, the landing gear virtual maintenance training system is realized in the computer environment.The main achievements during the study include:(1). Virtual maintenance environment establishment, organization and management;(2). Man and interactive virtual maintenance environment;(3). Collision detection of the virtual Maintenance scene;(4). Virtual disassembly and assembly process simulation;(5). Evaluation of the virtual maintenance process according to AHP method;(6). Implementation of the landing gear virtual maintenance training system.
