As rapidly developing of China’s railway and continuing implementation of therailway speed-up, the framework of our country’s railway transportation has beentransmitting and expanding to centralized scheduling, integration of comprehensivesystems, intelligent management and information sharing and integration. In this newsituation, the railway transportation and signal facilities should be imposed moresecurity, and it also faces some new challenges. Plus, as widely used of digitaltechnology and ultra large scale integrated circuits, the modern technique of faultdiagnosis has been a new diagnosis technique which is embedded with the technologyof computer, modern testing and artificial intelligence.Firstly, this paper introduces the developing situation of the diagnosis system ofrailway signal equipment, as well as the detailed analysis of the railway signal systemand its common symptoms of the signal equipment failures. Then, it introduces thebasic theory, features and internal structure of the Agent, the communication andarchitecture of the intelligent unity researched by the international standard organizationof intelligent unity. Based on certain understanding of individual Agent’smicro-research, we have conducted macro-research on grouped Agent. It includescommunication, collaboration, consultation and other key issues among Agent groups.And this paper also introduces the Unified Modeling Language (UML)based ontologymodeling.Mobile Agent Server (MAS) have a strong ability to express for solvingcomplex systems. The use distributed artificial intelligence technology of MAS forsolving complex systems of with the signal fault diagnosis system.Analysis and designof the electric fault diagnosis system based on MAS, using Agent-oriented design infault diagnosis system model.Construction of the expansion of Baltic Dry Index(BDI) structure of mixed Agent, primarily for data collection Agent, diagnosticAgent, case study of Agent, management Agent of these core modules Agent, analysisand design based on BDI model. According to the actual state of railway signalequipment, establishment of system requirements analysis, design the system use casemodel, and using object-oriented technology and UML modeling language for systemanalysis and modeling of the prototype. Established Agent a means of communication,communication language and collaborative process, With the FIPA-ACL as an Agent Communication Language. Analysis of diagnostic application of specific examples ofcollaborative process as well as the communication process. Finally achieved theestablishment and analysis system class diagram.Finally, the paper will combine theory and practice, Used. Net framework forsystem implementation.Achieve fault information management system diagnostics,fault diagnosis, case management of the basic functions of main modules.
