Today, with the development of new defense and aerospace applications, there is a higher requirement on bandwidth、real-time information processing ability and cooling technology. The computing applications of the mission require that the backplane architecture has the ability of working in harsh military and aviation environment, and the ability to provide a reliable platform for the different systems. VPX backplane standard enables system integrators to use the most advanced technology in the reinforcement platform.In this thesis, a design of the mixed FPGA+multi-core DSP processing board based on the new VPX bus standard is studied. Firstly,there is a brief introduction on the importance of the embedded computing technology and this technology in defense, aviation and other aspects.Then, this thesis briefly describes the basic theory of digital signal processing system, a simple analysis of the performance of the structure, and introduce the corresponding performance of the mixed processing board design.Moreover, the design of the system is proposed according to the requirements of the project and the proper processor is chosen. In the hardware, the main module of the board is introduced, including the A/D and D/A FMC interface, the signal pre-processing FPGA and multi-core DSP, the interconnect of the RapidIO switch, board power, clock and multi-memory design.Finally, we introduce the test process and results,and the scheduling algorithm for multi-core DSP based on a new platform for parallel processing, corresponding complex signal processing algorithms improvement is proposed according to the entire design process.
