The Research Of The In-depth Reports On Environment News

Development of economic has brought a wealth of material, but at the same time, it also brings serious environmental problems which aroused widespread concern of the community. Environment News which has the attention of media and the readers, came into being in the cracks of the high development and high-pollution.Along with the increasing of the types and scope of environmental issues, the coverage of Environment News has opened out. It not only relates to environmental pollutions and ecological destructions which are traditional, but also includes food safety issues, new energy issues, problems of urban planning and management and so on. The latter, in recent years, is widely concerned. However, Environment News was formally introduced into China after the reform and opening up, and began to develop in the mid-1980s. As a young type of news, the academic has included it in the study. But we still need to extend the research areas and the depth of research. Especially the research of Environment News-depth reporting is very scarce.Green news section of the "Southern Weekend", which is organized by the Southern Newspaper Group, is taken as the object of study. With good popularity and reputation, the newspaper is the main position of depth reporting. I study of news reports lasting for two years, since the founding of the "Green" on October8,2009, to September30,2011. The study includes the reported forms analysis and reporting content analysis of Green section. The analysis of reported forms involves layout, article length and coverage area. Reporting content analysis includes agenda-setting, sources, emotion and picture. Then I make a detailed interpretation of the main sources including official, scholars, business, environmental NGO and so on.
