The Issue Construction And Discourse Analysis Of Environmental Group Event Reports

Environmental communication is closely linked to specific social,economic and political powers.Power factors usually subtly affect the way and content of environmental issues,and guide people to look at nature from a specific perspective,and the relationship between people and nature.Therefore,environmental communication not only focuses on the dissemination,interaction and social impact of environmental issues,but also involves the process of constructing political,cultural and philosophical propositions behind environmental issues.The competition for the right to speak about environmental conflicts is usually very fierce.The reporting of environmental group events is a multi-party game between the public,the government,the companies and the media.This study will analyze its reports on the PX project events from the "Beijing News" and "Southern Weekend".Using text analysis and comparative research methods,this article will proceed to report on the media from the perspective of symbolic rhetoric.Critical discourse analysis of the theme and structure of the discourse,and at the same time examine these discourses and the context in which they are generated,and explore how the two media construct the controversial environmental issue of the PX project,as well as the theme,tone and How content is affected by social power relations and social consciousness and cultural background,and what logic is behind it.
