In the global wave of digital tide, digital TV known as the third generation of TV, it willbe a new growth point of national economy in twenty one Century. so in recent years, allcountries in the world to accelerate the pace of the digitalization of broadcast television, ourgovernment has already made schedule for transits from analog TV to digital TV, andIntroduced relevant policies to encourage it." Content is king, the form is gold",this sentenceelaborated dialectical relationship of the form of television and the content of television. italso Has the important guiding significance,even in the era of digital TV. Compared withtraditional analog TV, digital TV has many advantages, for examples, high image quality,large capacity and good sound effect. content is the key character to the TV audience.now, the content of digital TV in our country is mostly the copy of the original analogTV content,or is the professional channel of the original content based on a simple processing.These content is not able to meet the development needs of digital TV completely, it is urgentto develop more interactive VOD program, the program of game and Entertainment, somekinds of information programs and services application to the Specific groups. Accompaniedby the rapid growth of the user of digital television, only through get through the digital TVindustry chain, establish the professional status and the function of the "content provider" role,realize development of many kind of multimedia. promoting the development of digitaltelevision industry in long-term prospective.This paper analyzes the development status of the existing digital TV at home andabroad,draw on advanced experience, combined with China’s national conditions, thenproposed digital television content provider, the relative maturity of the new operating model.Finally, the Guangzhou local digital TV content provider for the object of study, combinedwith new content business model, practice analysis, to provide theoretical and practicalguidance for the new model.
