Iptv is the typical representative of new media in 21 century. Content-supplier is the beginner of the iptv industrial link, and plays the most important role in it . researching the key problem of the new phenomenon and giving the theoretical analysis is the main purpose of the paper.The study makes an accurate definition of content-suppliers and categorizes them at the beginning of the thesis. Then analysis the situations , characteristics , strengths and weaknesses of different kinds of these content-suppliers. Finally , based on some foreign iptv experience and domestic background , the study purposes some instructive suggestions on developing approach , content-supplying and profit-making .The study adopts some basic theories of communication, economics and sociology , trying to provide the iptv content-supplier with theoretical multi-perspective direction through quantitative and qualitative synthesis .
