With the advance of the triple play, the domestic radio and television services providers (SP) are facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. They have an opportunity to transform from single television SP to Internet, video and voice integrated SP. Meanwhile, the competition with telecommunication SP keeps intensifying. However, the scale of IP MAN of the domestic radio and television SP is small, and its carrying capacity and scalability are insufficient. Hence, there is an important practical significance to research the design and optimization of the routing of the radio and television SP IP MAN, which helps to increase their qualities and architecture of the IP MAN.The thesis takes the Oriental Cable Network Co. Ltd. (OCN), one of the largest radio and television services providers, as a research object. Analyzes the routing architecture of its IP MAN. Finds several problems existing in the network:1. The carrying capacity and scalability of the entire routing architecture of IP MAN are unable to satisfy the services requirements, which will impact the stability of network operation. Besides, the IP switching network and VOD network share the same routing stack, which will limit the performance, operability and scalability of their network.2. The exit network of IP switching network has not sufficient carrying capacity and scalability to satisfy the requirements of exit links bandwidth, which causes the congestion of exit links and impacts the expansion of the future Internet services. The thesis focuses on the problems above, and raises a series of design and optimization solutions of IP MAN routing:1. In order to resolve the problems of current routing structure of IP switching network, the thesis raises an OSPF+BGP routing architecture, which is able to increase the carrying capacity and scalability of IP switching network.2. Based on the OSPF+BGP architecture above, designs the early and later stage splitting solutions of IP switching network and VOD network, which are able to resolve the existing problems and minimize the impacts on the current services.3. Using the BGP, VRRP and link health check technologies, makes a proposal of dynamic exit network routing and static exit network optimization, which can increase the carrying capacity, reliability, scalability and troubles self-recovery capability.Finally, the thesis gives a detailed description and evaluation of the practices of the optimization and design solutions of IP MAN of OCN.
