| In recent years, with the rapid development of mobile communication, the number of mobile users increased rapidly. The traditional circuit switching services have been unable to meet the high demand of mobile users and the rapid deployment of communication business. In this background, the advanced high capacity integration mobile softswitch framework emerged in mobile core network. Mobile core network officially entered the times of softswitch with the global mainstream operators beginning to make use of mobile softswitch technology. The main characteristics of softswitch are the features of a large capacity and stronger processing ability than the traditional circuit switching. Carrier network based on IP can effectively simplify structure of the network, and reduce the number of network points and decrease the Operational Costs. The architecture with separation between control and carrier makes the network deployment more flexible, and also improves transmission effectively in mobile core network.But the architecture with separation between control and Carrier brings a serious challenge in mobile softswitch netwok, therefore, a disaster recovery becomes the most important issue for all telecommunication operators when the carrier network is widely disconnect. In order to solve this problem, dual-homed is used by some operators for the disaster recovery. The technology is a MSC Server’s level solution to disaster recovery according to network of R4as part of Equipment supplier’s suggested. Its main content is that when the master MSC Server is fault, which under MGW can register to another normal MSC Server. It greatly improves reliability and security of MSC Server in equipment and network level because of dual-homed technology application, but it can’t achieve disaster recovery of MGW, and complex network of dual-homed increased the difficulty of maintenance and extra workload.Aiming at the above problems, this paper firstly analyzes and compares the current two kinds of mainstream disaster recovery technology-Dual-homed and MSC Pool, and analyzes and discusses the basic concepts, technical principles, solutions and network planning of MSC pool emphatically. Futherly, the MSC Pool is presented, it not only realize real-time disaster recovery, but also share the traffic load, reduce inter-handover and location update, enhance the rate of equipment utilization and network quality. Next, a network rebuilding project based on the principle of MSC Pool technology in a city of Inner Mongolia is discussed, the advantages of MSC Pool technology is proved both in mobile softswitch core network disaster recovery and the utilization ratio of equipment. Finally, the conclusion is that MSC Pool is the optimal solution of disaster recovery problem in mobile softswitch core network. |
