The core network(CN) is a key part of the mobile communication network, and it has far-reaching significance for the mobile communication network operator to improve its ability of disaster recovery and network performance continuously. In view of the drawbacks of the traditional CN disaster recovery capability and in order to improve it, this paper raises a viewpoint which suggesting to transform the traditional CN in the way of MSC in Pool (MIP). At the same time, the application of MIP technology in mobile communication networks has been studied and implemented in this paper.Firstly, the paper gives an outline of the background to the introduction of MIP technology in the mobile communication network in order to reduce network operating costs, the mobile communication network operator has transformed the CN to an IP-based, business-centralized CN, and thus brought a big potential risks to the CN. As a result, after analyzing the characteristics of the traditional CN, the paper suggests to transform the traditional down-tree and single-linked CN into a multi-linked structure of the mesh, and improve the disaster recovery capability in the way of MIP.In the next part, the paper details the basic principles of the MIP (cloud computing concept), as well as several key technologies in the MIP (the Pool Area and NRI technology, the NNSF technology, the redistribution technology, the proxy MSC technology, the recovery treatment technology, the handover technology, etc.), and makes a preliminary analysis on the performance of the MIP, combining with the the MIP basic business processes.The emphasis of the paper is to discuss ways to introduce the MIP technology into the mobile communication network in detail, including MIP designing principles and building plans. Combined with MIP data,the practical results of the mobile communication network in Foshan,it is proved that MIP indeeds a very important role in upgrading the CN disaster recovery capability and network performance. As a result, we have come to an important conclusion:the theory and practice have incontrovertibly proved that the technology of MSC In Pool, is a feasible and reliable CN technology, it plays a very important role in improving disaster recovery capability and network performance of the CN.Finally, we makes the prospect of MIP technology in the communication network.
