In recent years, with the rapid increase in the number of mobile users, mobile softswitch equipments with the features of a large capacity and high integration get a large number of deployment in the core network. However, because of the large covering of mobile softswitch equipments in the network, when tsunamis, earthquakes and other major natural disasters or equipment failures caused by other factors happen, it will lead to a broader range of business interruption and make a great impact. Therefore, the research of disaster recovery technology in mobile softswitch network and its implementation of the project have become the industry's problem which can not be avoided.In this thesis, the current two kinds of mainstream disaster recovery technology: dual homing and MSC Pool are analysed and compared, and that the MSC Pool not only has prominent advantages in disaster recovery, but also can share the traffic load, reduce inter-handover and location update, enhance the capacity of system and reduce operational costs is pointed out. Moreover, based on the principles of MSC Pool technology, the Chongqing Mobile MSC Pool Experiment Office is planed and designed, and that the advantages of MSC Pool in network disaster recovery and system capacity upgrade and other areas is verified.Finaly, we obtain the conclusion that MSC Pool is the optimal solution of the disaster recovery problem in mobile softswitch network.
