The data recorder has been widely used in various industries, including aerospace, radar,communications, industrial and medical health and so on. Because the research level of radargradually maturates, so the exact location of the target needs to record additional parameters,such as the target shape, position, state of motion. In order to obtain accurate, high-definitionof the target image, the radar echo signal acquisition in a short period of time produces largeamounts of data. So the data recorder bandwidth and capacity are proposed for furtherrequirements, making the design of high-speed, large capacity data recorder developed tobecome an important task. With the development of semiconductor technology, Flashbecomes record’s first storage medium because of outstanding performance. The paperpresents the design of high-speed, large capacity data recorder based Flash. The device has thecharacteristics of small size, light weight and resistance to high shock overload, and can adaptto the conditions of high-altitude test environment.First, the paper describes the semiconductor memory media, researches the status of thedevelopment of solid-state recorder at home and abroad, gives the index of the records in thetask and the composition of the records module and the work principle, and introduces theblock diagram and functional analysis of the interface module and storage module in details.Secondly, the key problems in the course of the study, such as Flash achieve the process ofhigh-speed storage, secondary buffer memory in FPGA and the reliability of design, are madea detailed analysis and description. Thirdly, according to the several representative problemsin debugging process, the paper gives the specific ideas and the solutions. This contributes toa better understanding of the entire design process. The closed-loop test system composed bythe host computer, the ground testing, the record and the cable network completes testing andverification of the recorder’system functions. Finally, this paper summarizes the content ofthis study, and makes a vision in the future work for the problems and lack in the design.At present, the data record products have been finished to delivery. It has been used torecord the high-speed video echo and image telemetry data of radar in flight test processsuccessfully, and hard recovered in the aircraft after landing. The data record can obtain flightparameters accurately.
