In the fields of space tracking, measures of physical quantities such as pressure, temperature by telemetry system can not meet measurement requirements any more, image processing technology has been widely used in space tracking systems. Real flight states of the flight process can be restored by high real-time property and site features. In views of the features of high-speed, high capacity data of image signal transmission, solid state recorder which stores image data is urgent for measurement and control system. Image solid state recorder designed in this paper can store high speed image data stream real-timely, and after experiment, image data can be decoded and restored.The image solid state recorder in this thesis takes XC3S200AN, which is one of Xilinx's Spartan-3AN members, as the control core, uses Samsung's Flash memory K9WAG08UIM as memory chip of storage module, and hardware platform is built to testify the design's feasibility.In this thesis, the working modes and design of image solid state recorder is introduced, and the hardware platform and FPGA timing control is explained in detail. Overall design includes image acquisition module, flash storage module, high-speed FIFO and system control module is proposed in allusion to characteristics of studies of solid state recorder at home and abroad, and flash storage and high-speed FIFO are the key points of the whole design. At the last of the paper, system debugging, reliability design and test are introduced. The author has offered suggestions and solutions aiming at some of the technical difficulties and the problems in debugging process.
