As the electronic product’s function increase, and the test environment is more and more complex, the traditional single instrument measurement and hardware measurement can’t achieve the require. We replaced it with multi-function instrument technology、software module technology and network technology, so the universal instrument test platform with PC emerged. The problem is how to establish a remote instrument test platform. This platform needs to have multi-instrument integration capabilities. It can be accessed by different kinds of interfaces, make them do the testing tasks. The platform needs have data analysis and data processing capability. In addition, we must migrate the platform to the Internet, let the users and testers use it through the network.This thesis use is supported by a corporation’s research fund program, "The design of automatic test platform based on the direction of the development of modem measurement techniques f or multi-instrument integration and testing. This system supports six kinds of instrument modules. It improves the development environment, the communication interface of the measuring instruments the driver procedures. We aim at design and implement a remote instrument test platform systems, optical communications test platform module program development debug and verify. The remote testing platform finished the web publish.The main contents and innovations of this thesis as follow:1.The thesis researches the main use of the labview, especially in the measurement and instrument control. It also researches the composition of the data acquisition system. We analysis the communication of different types of interface instruments and the basic components of the driver procedures, According to the different types of interfaces for various types of instruments (such as GPIB interface、Ethernet port、USB port、serial port.etc) to design a variety of access methods to make it even into the test platform.2.We designed the remote test platform system. It is divided into various test modules in order to achieve the integration platform for the instrument of different manufactures of different types of interfaces. We researched the test device’s principles、testing methods、applications and so on. (Including TEK oscilloscope、power meter、optical attenuator、the FTB-500 optical test platform) and complete platform for program design, and completed each module’s test programming. 3.We publish the remote instrument test platform program to the web, so that the users enable to access the local server through the Internet. Additional, We developed the user login system. We prepare the user login interface, allowing users to access the test platform via the Internet.
