The growth and reproduction of livestock are not only affected by genetic, nutrition and other factors, but also directly affected by their growth environment. Therefore, we should have real-time and reliable environment monitoring for livestock care, to provide an important theory basis for environmental regulation, and optimize environment of the care.Environment quality monitoring for livestock care includes two aspects: on the one hand we should monitor ecological environment quality of indoor air, which mainly refers to the temperature, humidity, illumination and other environmental factors; on the other hand we should monitor the indoor air quality, which mainly refers to various harmful gases in care. The concentration of carbon dioxide directly shows the ventilation state and air pollution degree in livestock care, when the concentration of carbon dioxide rises, the rest of the harmful gases is also likely to rise, therefore, the level of carbon dioxide can reliably measure air pollution level of the care. Author chose the value of carbon dioxide concentration as intermediate value to measure the rest of harmful gases concentration in livestock care and realize the air quality monitoring. For the above reason, choose the temperature, humidity, illumination, carbon dioxide as four monitoring parameters.The paper analyzed the home and abroad research status on environment in livestock care, to meet current problem which effect the development of breeding industry of livestock in our country, selected reasonable sensitive parameters of livestock, designed the environment Multi-parameters monitoring system in livestock care. To monitor comprehensive environment parameters, we need to set up multiple monitoring nodes in livestock care, so the monitoring system uses distributed architecture. The hardware of system is consisted of the host computer (PC)、router and monitoring nodes. Monitoring node is the slave computer (SCM) monitoring system, including STC89C52 microcontroller, temperature and humidity detection module, illumination detection module, carbon dioxide detection module, LCD display module and Ethernet communication module. In the microcontroller software development environment Keil uVision4 using C language to complete the design of SCM software, specifically including the monitoring to temperature and humidity, illumination, carbon dioxide concentration, and the controlling to LCD display and data communication of Ethernet. The system can carry out real-time data display, history data inquiry, and beg the extreme value and the mean value by using virtual instrument software of PC.The testing results of simulation in lab show that the system is stable and reliable, can realize the real-time monitoring of environment parameters and accurately sent data.
