Acoustic signal and image are important types of sensor information innature.People could do some research base on these sensor informations.Forexample, the vehicle identification in the intelligent transportation base on image, todetect the damage intensity of bridge base on the acquisition of acoustic signal. Thecore of the research is the acquisition of acoustic signal and images combining theWireless Sensor Networks and embedded system,then the subsequent theoryresearch related to some application base on this system will be carried out.Wireless Sensor Networks used in this paper is the latest ZigBee 2007/PROnetwork come from Texas Instruments,and the latest generation of wireless sensornetwork chip used in the system is CC2530, CC2530 could realize various kinds ofcomplicated short-distance communication with the support of Z-STACK protocolstack.One key point in the system is the realization of wireless transparenttransmission through serial port between the acquisition terminal and the networkcoordinator. The acquisition of acoustic signal is controled by microprocessor in theacquisition terminal, and then the collected signal will be transmitted to CC2530,atlast to the network coordinator.Meanwhile, the acoustic signal will be received byCC2530 in the network coordinator and then will be transmitted to the microprocessor in the network coordinator. The whole process is equivalent to the wirelesstransmission of serial port which could lead to the improvement of transmission rate.The acquisition and transmission of acoustic signal will be done, the catch ofacoustic signal will be completed by microphone pickup,and the acoustic signal willbe processed by signal condition circuit,at last transmitted to the network coordinator,the acquisition terminal is a embedded system base on the LPC2214 processor, theembeddedμCOS-Ⅱsystem is also transplanted to the LPC2214 to complete theacquisition and transmission of acoustic signal in realtime. The specific hardwareand software design are provided in this paper,and the PCB board of acquisitionterminal also is completed at last.The network coordinator is a embedded system base on S3C6410 processorwhich integrated high-performance hardware JPEG coder/decoder and Multi-Formatvideo Codec, which make the image to be transformmed to other format much easy.The embedded Linux system is transplanted to network coordinator to completeimage’s JPEG decode and H.264 encode. At last,the acoustic signal and image will be transmitted to remote control centre by socket.During the syste’s debugging, the transmission of acoustic signal from point topoint between the acquisition terminal and the network coordinator has been realizedin ZigBee network,and the image’s acquisition、image’s display on LCD and image’sH.264 encode also could be done.
