| Embedded wireless sensor network gateway is a network equipment thatintegrated with network communication, wireless sensor technology, embeddedtechnology and distributed information technology. Connected with the wirelesssensor network and external Internet, gateway plays a pivotal role in wireless sensornetwork. The design and implementation of a powerful, easy to deploy andreconfigurable of wireless sensor network gateway has important application valueand prospect. As the representative of short range wireless communicationstechnology, ZigBee has played an important role on wireless sensor networkapplications.According to the development trend of wireless sensor networks, the traditionalwired sensor network data acquisition monitoring system has the disadvantages ofhigh cost, hard maintenance and difficult upgrade. Combining wirelesscommunication networks and embedded systems technology, this paper designed akind of embedded wireless sensor network gateway based on FPGA platform whichrealizes the connection between ZigBee wireless sensor network and Internet.This paper firstly introduces the background of the topic selected, including theembedded wireless sensor network and the concepts related to SOPC technology.After an analys is of the gateway in software and hardware, a plan based on SOPC ismade. Then the design of software and hardware system is given, including theconstruction of SOPC hardware system, the development of application onuC/OS-II OS and the software and hardware design of Zigb ee node. At the end ofpaper, a test of gateway’s functions is made.The result shows that this system realizes the connection of Zigbee networkand Ethernet. Compared with the troditional gateways, the gateway in this designhas the advantages of low cost, easy deployment and good compatibility, it hascertain reference values in the development of wireless sensor network. |
