The importance of Radar technology has become increasingly obvious in modern electronic warfare. Radar signal analysis technology is an indispensable component of this field. In this process, it contains recognition of radar emitter signals and pulse compression technique. Recognition of radar emitter signals is a key technology in signal processing of radar countermeasures. Through a series of algorithms, it can obtain intercepted signal characteristic parameters. Thus the important information about the emission source radar can be gained. Pulse compression technique is widely used in modern radar system. Large timeband product signals are used in pulse compression technique to improve the resolution in range and the actual value of radar.Firstly, the intra-pulse modulation feature of radar emitter signals is analyzed. And then the basic performance of Single-frequency pulse signal, LFM pulse signal, NLFM pulse signal, PHC signal in time domain and frequency domain are discussed. For getting a good performance of the pulse pressure, it gives a brief analysis of the Matched filter’s side-lobe suppression function. This article is mainly to complete the work as follows.1. Simulating Single-frequency pulse signal, LFM pulse signal, NLFM pulse signal, PHC signal. Contrasting spectrum characteristics which are gained in different characteristic parameters just like time wide, band wide or sampling frequency. Then the theoretical summary is made. Analyzing pulse pressure performance of these classic pulse compression signals in frequency domain. It provides the theoretical summary to analysis of software testing sample.2. Mixed programming of C++and Matlab. Design and implement the functions of the radar signal analysis software just like emitter signals recognition function, signal pulse compression function, parameters calculation function and subsidiary function.3. Testing software functions, and comparing it with theoretical summary. Then evaluate the performance of software. The results prove software can meet the theoretical analysis.
