In modern ELINT System and ESM System, it must have the ability to analyze and process all kinds of special radar signals quickly and correctly in order to meet the requirement of the electronic war. In order to detect the radar signal in the war environment, it is no doubt that signal processing is the one of the most important subjects in the area of radar and the application of modern radar systems. This thesis analyses linear frequency-modulation signal (LFM), binary phase-code signal (BC), stepped-frequency signal (SF) and the hybrid pulse compression signals respectively by using the time-frequency analysis methods; This thesis elaborates the theory of time-frequency analysis methods; discusses the methods of estimating modulation coefficients of LFM, BC and SF radar signal; In the end, this thesis discusses the application of Fractional Fourier Transform in LFM signal processing, and discussed the analysis of LFM and BC signals by using Wigner-Ville method. This thesis researches the algorithm of using wavelet ridge to calculate the instantaneous frequency of LFM signal, and simulate the analysis of the algorithm to LFM and SF signals. This also researches the algorithm of combination of STFT and wavelet transform for analyzing BC signal, this algorithm is also simulated by MATLAB, and the result reaches the expectation.
