Under grid environment, computing resources, software and operations of users have the characteristic of dynamic. Therefore, grid monitoring system is indeed necessary to get accurately real-time grid information. The monitoring information can be the basis of grid resources scheduling and performance optimization, for timely detecting the failure nodes, maintaining the load balancing, analyzing and resolving system bottlenecks, and ultimately optimizing system performance.With development of Web, software applications gradually range from the desktop application of C/S structure to Web application of B/S structure. Therefore, the web-based grid load monitoring system was designed and implemented in the thesis on the two platform of CGSP and GOS which supported relatively by the Ministry of Education and the National Natural Science Foundation. Users can monitor the load information of heterogeneous grid platform by a Web browser. The system, which monitors the heterogonous gird nodes, not only provided a visualization and user-friendly web client for scientists, but also improved the present monitoring system, conquered the drawback of the system only using for proprietary grid platform and finally made the different platforms grid nodes monitored. And then, the system implements the monitor of different grid platform, and help users find fault node to timely solve the problem and schedule jobs and optimize the performance of the grid system. Thus, it helped users improve the efficiency of grid application based on heterogeneous grid platform.
