Research Of Resource Monitor Technology In Grid Environment

Grid combines the computers located at different locations into a "visual super-computer" via Internet, and intends to realize the overall comprehensive sharing and collaboration of resources. It is a vital technique in grid that how to monitor and discovery these resources. Nowadays, GRMAD(Grid Resource Monitor And Discovery) system is difficult to fit totally to the distribution, scalability and heterogeneousnes of the grid. P2P technique is a fruitful method for developing distributed system, which can provide an ideal approach to solve problems in GRMAD. In this paper, the characteristic of grid and GRMAD system are introduced in detail; Then, analysis is given to research status at home and abroad; After doing lots of research of P2P network, a GRMAD system model based on P2P technique is put forward. The system model can adapt well to the grid environment, and it has the characteristics of veracity, efficiency and expansibility. At last, performance analysis on the model is given, and some existing questions and further research work are proposed.
